Paris Fashion Week Outfit Day 2 - Carin Wester Narcissa Dress

I´m obsessed with this long sleeve jersey maxi dress by Carin Wester. I wore it through the day with a simple blazer jacket and scarf but at night transitioned to evening glam by taking the scarf and jacket off and adding a long sparkly necklace from Celine Engelstad. It hangs in a beautiful a-line and just feels totally amazing on. If you are a little bit taller then don´t worry about the length not going all the way to the ground because midi length is MASSIVE this season. Recommend, recommend, recommend.

Sneak Peak - T Alexander Wang Fall 2011

So Paris Fashion Week is coming to a close, which means buying season is almost over. We have been running around beautiful sunny Paris for the last few days meeting brands and designers one of which was Alexander Wang. OMG you are going to DIE! The T collection for Fall 2011 is amazing. The famous poncho from the mainline has been adapted for his T line and is being introduced in chunky grey and black jersey with contrasting leather. The collection is also a lot more than just t-shirts with delicate long velvet textured dresses, loads of floaty silk and fabulous details such as layering, drapes, wraps and zips. I will take one of everything please.

Todd Lynn AW11 - London Fashion Week

The Todd Lynn show at London Fashion Week showcased just what we need here in freezing cold Oslo. Super high collars that covered the whole lower half of the models faces trotted down the runway in variations of leather and fur. The fluffy white fur was clearly my favourite. Very cleverly these gigantic collars can be worn up or down hooked over the shoulders, which created a completely different look. The rest of the collection was very asymmetric with drapes, tailoring and structure mixed together in a very intentional way. Really liked it and would love to get my hands on one of those leather jackets.

Day 3 Outfit - London Fashion Week

You can tell by Day 3 of Fashion Week I was starting to give in to the cold by adding my wool Carin Wester jacket and cashmere scarf to keep me toasty. Long dresses are a major trend this season but wearing this T Alexander Wang Cami Spandex Dress means you don´t have to wait until mid summer to pull out you multi-coloured maxi. Wear with the T Alexander Wang Muscle Tee layered over the top like I have done here or add Wangs Boatneck Sweater in beautiful melon or his famous Hoodie for extra warmth. Its all about layering with this new Wang collection, but all the fabrics are so luxurious and soft it feels amazing and looks "oh so trendy" don´t you think :-)

Nina Jarebrink AW11 - Oslo Fashion Week

I´m going all the way back to last week when I attended the Nina Jarebrink show at Oslo Fashion Week. It was a full event with Norway´s fashion elite including Elle & Costume editors sitting front row (along with fashionmixology.no might I add). Nina put on a great show starting with an arty pre video that was full of gorgeous shots of the models. The collection featured short figure hugging dresses, luxe velvet fabrics and fabulous accessories. I loved the leather belts and cuffs scattered consistently throughout. Made from a teak coloured leather and finished with delicate embossed patterns with tiny gold chains - beautiful! In my opinioin it was this detailing and styling that raisted the collection to the next level. My favourite piece was the "itsy bitsy teeny weeny" bustier dress with the chunky leather belt.

Irwin & Jordan - AW11 London Fashion Week "The Designer to Watch"

Irwin & Jordan are a fairly young contemporary brand that is receiving hype and attention in mass at the moment. They have a very feminine collection with emphasis on tailoring, oversized silks and pretty dresses. I was lucky enough to attend their intimate AW11 London Fashion Week runway show at the uber trendy Haymarket Hotel along with Natalie Imbruglia, Sir Stuart Rose and a few other fabulous folk. The show was gorgeous. Sequins, lace and tweed were mixed together and seen in a range of variations throughout. The show stopper was definitely the finale long silver sequin skirt with train teamed with a simple tee.

Day 2 Outfit - London Fashion Week

For Day 2 of (still very cold) London Fashion Week I chose to combine the new season T Alexander Wang Hoodie with my Acne Black Awesome Silk Blouse. I just wore it with 100 denier black tights and really loved how the soft and floaty fabric contrasted against the thick chunky knit of the hoodie. I added some sparkle with double layering long necklaces and finished with my must have red lipstick to glam the whole outfit up.

Exquisite Jonathan Saunders - London Fashion Week AW11

I was at Paddington Central on Saturday night for the Jonathan Saunders AW11 runway show and oh my god it was amazing. The location set the scene. Vast, modern and edgy. The huge hall was brought alive by massive balls of light that were neatly positioned down the centre of the runway. Models had a very long walk on a very shiny marble like floor in very high Louboutin shoes and did very well not to fall. The collection was mature with high waists and just below the knee pencil skirts and dresses, which made for a sharp and very elegant silhouette. Bold colour, texture and pattern complimented each other in a confusing way. If anyone else tried to do it they would fail dramatically but Jonathan Saunders has this profound talent at clashing colours and patterns in perfect harmony. Orange and turquoise prints were worn with green, black and blue patterned tops. Dramatic diamond shapes in contrasting green and blue dominated the front of dresses and sequin embellishment added an element of evening glamour. I just loved everything about this collection. From the slits in the skirts offering just enough to be sexy, the colour palette just enough to be edgy and modern and the cut and tailoring completely exquisite.

 

 

 

 

Day 1 Outfit - London Fashion Week

I chose to wear a new season long sleeve dress by Swedish designer Carin Wester. I made it a little more winter as its kind of freezing in London at the moment with my wool base McQ Alexander McQueen blazer. This blazer has slits on the cuffs of the arms so it really easy to wear them folded back for a different look. I glamorized with some statement gold jewellery and finished with the Michael Michael Kors Stud clutch. The dress was a dream to wear, so soft and comfortable against the skin.
