Paul & Joe Sister Indigo Caralina Tie Neck Dress attends a wedding

I was at a very glamorous wedding in the lovely Ireland on Saturday that demanded a glamorous outfit.  For the occasion I mixologized together this stunning indigo Carlina tie neck dress by Paul & Joe Sister from the Fashion Mixology Boutique with a short fur jacket that I found in Cubus.  A vintage bag that I picked up recently matched perfectly with my patent platform pumps by Kurt Geiger (you´ve got to love a pair of sky high heels)!  However the blend wasn´t complete without some subtle bling in the form of my black Chanel J12 watch, Chanel Fire red nail polish (no. 159) and matching lips!  My feet were killing by 5.30am but it was worth it!

Street Mixology in Glasgow City Centre

I chased this girl down the main shopping street in Glasgow city center the other day to take her picture because she looked so good.  

The Dorothy Lee puffball dress is mixologized for a wedding in London

So my twin sister Fee snapped up one of the out of shape puffball dresses from LA brand Dorothy Lee as soon as they came into the Fashion Mixology boutique. She wore this unique dress to a Norwegian/American wedding that took place in London on Saturday and I just wanted to show you how she mixologized it for the grand event.  She mixologized killer black Stella McCartney heels with a matching clutch (we love) and polished the whole outfit off with an oversized red flower in her GHD curled hair.  In her own words, “I felt really great in the dress! Wearing something that is a little bit different from everyone else always feels fab, and people complimented it all night”. So seems to have worked.  You looked gorg girl, well done! 

Don´t forget to wear red lipstick this season, its a must, and looks so glamorous!

 

Kilt mixology in the streets of Glasgow for the Scotland vs Norway football match

I´ve been visiting Scotland this week and yesterday I hit the fabulous city of Glasgow to see what sort of street mixology was on the cards for the Scotland vs Norway football match.  I´m most definitely not a football girl, but the atmosphere in the city was amazing and there were so many men in kilts that I have to admit I got a bit side tracked by all the sexy Scottish boys and decided to do a feature on kilt fashion.  Soooo many different kilts, so many different colours and all mixologized with so many different tops!  There really is quite a variance in kilt fashion.  The interesting thing was that not one bloke had the traditional attire on with a smart jacket, shirt and belt. Tiberland boots seemed to be a must have and the knee high wool socks were all rolled down.  I had lots of fun and by the sounds of the singing, laughing and partying that was going on all over the city, the Kilts did too!

He´s Norwegian, he´s Scottish, or is he?  I don´t think he knows himself!

Autumn Street Mixology: Sunglasses are an all year round accessory

With temperatures of seven degrees in Oslo today there is a definite nippy chill in the air.  Autumn is well and truly here…..so with blue skies and the sun shining we hit the streets to see how the girls were handling the wardrobe transition towards winter.  Keeping it urban cool despite the cold I was pleasantly surprised to find coats and boots being mixologized with plenty of layers, berets and oversized sunglasses.  From Vintage Christian Diors, to everybody´s best friend the Ray-ban Wayfarer, sunglasses are no longer seasonal, they are an all year round must have!  Well done girls you look great - definitely qualified fashion mixologists….

Headbands....love or hate?

The headband trend really is a bit of a love or hate thing; either you rock it and think they are cool or you absolutely don´t!  Its quite a difficult one to pull off as there is a fine line, that if crossed, can leave you looking like a confused hippy stuck in the twentieth century.  Not sure if I managed to pull it off at Oya this summer with this dusky pink number but according to the grin spread across my face I am having WAY to much fun to care anyway – but the point is, at least I tried…..

London Street Mixology - high waisted, over the knee socks and hareem trousers

For my last day in London I hit the city armed with my camera to see what fashion mixologists were walking the streets looking all “cool and trendy”.  I have to say cool and trendy is available with almost every second person but I selected these few fashion mixologist stars because they showcase some of this seasons hot trends – high waisted is still here whether we like it or not, over the knee socks are back and hareem style trousers are the must have pant.

This little bag is my new best friend. I picked her up from a vintage shop last week and since then she has come everywhere with me. Like a true fashion mixologist I mix her up with nearly every outfit.  Blending vintage with high street and premium designers to create my own style.
